defying gravity

I am not a huge avid fan of musicals, but I do pride myself on loving the art of acts of singing, dancing and acting all at the same time. And so, this week, when I went down to Singapore for CNY, I was wonderfully ecstatic at being able to sit down and enjoy a (very expensive) famous musical :)

To be honest, the seats weren’t the best as we bought the cheapest tickets available (boh lui!), but it was still brilliant. I don’t really know how to describe it, but when I entered the theatre, my excitement was so over-the-top that I think I actually went numb, and I just sat there staring at the great dragon prop (it moves & has eyes that glow red) that was hanging on the ceiling of the stage. Then afterwards throughout the musical, the hairs on both arms all stood up, I couldn’t close my mouth, my heart was pounding and my brain was whizzing with questions of whys & hows.

That was the second best thing about visiting Singapore. The first, of course, was being able to visit my relatives (and get angpows in Sing dollars teeheehee). I shall now post the very few pictures I captured with my phone whilst in Singapore.

I am now looking forward for my cousins to come down to Malaysia in return! Happy Chinese New Year everybody :)
